The Winnipeg Free Press published an article about the 75th anniversary of the board game Scrabble on October 26, 2013. They featured the Winnipeg Scrabble Club and did interviews with a number of people. A video and photos were also taken. Text version of the article and video can be found here. Because of a prior booking -- and the need to collect and/or give out candy -- there will be no play at the club on Thursday, October 31.

Fresh on the heels of the Regina tournament, several Winnipeg players made the trip to Calgary to complete in the 18th Western Canadian Scrabble Championship from October 2-6, 2013.

Several players from the Winnipeg Club travelled to Regina to compete in their annual tournament on September 28-29, 2013.
Don Forester won Division 2 with a 10-4 (+509) record, and Linda Pearn (director of the club) came in fourth place (7-7, -127).
